Omega Elifar operates on a high level of staff to service user ration, based upon the assessed needs of individual service users. Use of organised staffing rotas ensure suitably skilled members of staff are on duty in all of our care homes 24/7.
We have a comprehensive training programme in place and our support team is trained to NVQ (QCF) Level 3 or working towards it under supervision. Our Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the running of the Care Homes and is supported by a team of Care Home Managers and administration support. Each Care Home has its own dedicated Registered Manager.
All staff undertake training in Safeguarding, Moving and Handling, Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty (DOL), Non-abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAAPI), Safeguarding, Fire Safety and Awareness, First Aid. Dysphagia Awareness, Epilepsy and administering emergency medication.
In addition to this, we run training for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health and Safety, Diet and Nutrition, Dignity and Respect, Dementia Awareness and Safe Handling of Medicines.
