Corbiere held a wonderful Platinum Jubilee garden party on Saturday 4th June for all our service users, complete with an amazing banquet and a visit from Her Majesty The Queen.
Everyone had a lovely time in the sun and were so excited to meet the Queen.
We hope everyone had a great long weekend 🙂
We would like to say a huge thank you  to Andy Warwick, the father of Sam from Corbiere for our lovely new garden. The garden will allow all the service users at Corbiere to have full access to the garden and enjoy lots of parties and BBQ’s with family and friends. This has made a positive impact on the lives of the service users at Corbiere as they can now walk, ride their bike around the whole garden, have their sensory needs met with the new flower beds and also more importantly sit back with a nice cold drink on the swing on the pergola
Thank you again Andy
Day trips are an important part of an active social life, which our service users here at Dove House continue to enjoy
There are plenty of activities and sources of entertainment within the home which service users can make use of at any time, and we also visit the Company Hydrotherapy pool on a regular basis.
We have enjoyed weekly Music for Health sessions, walks, physical exercise, movement and dance, aromatherapy and reflexology. We have also enjoyed sensory games, group activities, cooking, singing, dancing and we have even opened our own cafe and shop.
Socialising with friends and family is extremely important to all our service users at Dove house and we have continued to encourage and develop strong connections with our loved ones via phone calls, videocalls, chats, letters etc.
We also welcome visits from ‘feathered friends!’

As we gradually return to some normality, we have been able to enjoy more family visits and greater access to the community. Our next big event is the up-and-coming barge trip, which everyone is really looking forward to.
We are also improving the garden at present and so far, it has proven to be a huge hit with our guys.
Whether it’s taking a leisurely stroll, riding a bike around the new pathway, or spending time in the sensory area, everyone seems to be enjoying the newly improved space.
